Jelly Roll is proving he’s not just a country superstar, he’s also the ultimate hype man for his son Noah’s flag football team, the Tigers.
Recently, the singer visited the team of young players after a game and delivered an uplifting speech, encouraging them not to dwell on their loss but to stay positive, learn from the experience, and get ready for the next matchup.
With the group of boys huddled around him, and his son Noah DeFord standing proudly in the back, Jelly Roll reminded them what really matters.

“Hey listen man, this is part of it, baby. You have good days and you have bad days, but above everything, you have fun and you stick together,” he told them. “Y’all remember, y’all are a team and y’all figure out how to get tighter and be better together, right? That’s all right though.”
He asked the team, “Did y’all have fun out there today?” The boys shouted back, “Yes sir!”
“Did y’all learn something out there today?” he continued. Again, the players responded with, “Yes sir!”

That’s when Jelly Roll delivered a message they’ll likely never forget.
“Well, it was a good day in the sun as far as I’m concerned. The philosophy we have from this day forward: the Tigers don’t lose, the Tigers learn. Is that a deal?”
The proud dad went on to encourage the boys to celebrate what they did on the field, think about what they can improve for next time, and most importantly, to support each other.

“Take the time first to pat yourself on the back for what you do, showing up in a hundred-degree heat… and then think about what you can do a little better next time. But most importantly, tell your teammates you love them and you’re proud of ’em, and you’re going to come back next week and kick somebody’s a**.”
Jelly Roll’s wife, Bunnie XO, captured the uplifting speech and shared it on TikTok, admitting “everybody needs a Jelly pep talk.”

Jelly Roll has kept his son, Noah Buddy DeFord, mostly out of the spotlight. That changed about two years ago when he and his wife, Bunnie XO, began sharing small glimpses of him on social media. Noah is Jelly’s son from a previous relationship with a woman named Melissa, while Bunnie has fully embraced her role as his bonus mom. He even joined Jelly Roll at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards in 2022. Jelly is also a proud dad to daughter Bailee Ann DeFord.
