Jessie Murph is turning heads with her stunning rendition of Miranda Lambert’s “Tin Man.”
Clips circulating on TikTok show the 20-year-old delivering a heartfelt performance of the emotional ballad during soundcheck for her Worldwide Hysteria Tour.

Wearing casual sweats, Murph effortlessly pours emotion into the lyrics, which tell the story of a girl who warns the Tin Man (a nod to The Wizard of Oz) that he’s better off without a heart because he doesn’t have to experience the pain of heartbreak.

“Hey there, Mr. Tin Man/ You don’t know how lucky you are/ You shouldn’t spend your whole life wishin’/ For somethin’ bound to fall apart/ Every time you’re feelin’ empty/ Better thank your lucky stars/ ‘Cause if you ever felt one breakin’/ You’d never want a heart,” she sings.
This video showcases Murph’s beautiful vocals in a way that fans often don’t get to hear, and it’s blowing them away. The comments section is filled with kind words praising her voice.
“You hear every emotion in her voice. She needs more recognition and respect,” one user wrote. Another declared, “Literally the most underrated artist ever I love her.”

“Tin Man” was written by Lambert with Jack Ingram and Jon Randall and featured on her sixth studio album, The Weight of These Wings, released in 2016. The song took home the title of ACM Song of the Year in 2018.
Murph was introduced to country fans through “High Road,” her chart-topping duet with country/rocker Koe Wetzel. The collaboration landed her a nod as the ACM New Female Artist of the Year in early 2025, however, Murph has made it clear that she does not consider herself a country artist.
She previously opened up to Country Now about the “mind-blowing” nomination.
“I was not expecting it. I don’t feel like I’m a country artist. I was a little bit like, what? But I’m happy to be here and I’m happy to be here supporting everybody,” she shared honestly.
Murph has dabbled in various genres and plans to continue to do so.
“I think that’s why I was a little shocked because it’s a mix of a bunch of different things. It’s mostly just the stuff I grew up listening to. I’m from Alabama, so I heard a lot of country growing up, but I also heard a lot of rap and a lot of pop and all this stuff. So it’s just a culmination of all that I’d say,” she told us.
Jessie Murph’s latest album, Sex Hysteria, is out now.
