Last May, fans saw stunning photos shared by country artist Jimmie Allen and his beautiful bride, Alexis Gale, from what appeared to be their wedding ceremony. It turns out this was actually the couple’s second time walking down the aisle together.

Alexis revealed to People that the love birds secretly tied the knot in 2020, when they exchanged vows in a private ceremony. The Delaware natives proceeded to go public for their larger celebration held last May.

“We haven’t officially announced this, but we’ve actually been married for a year,” Alexis explained. “We got married on his birthday — June 18 — last year. Actually publicly being Mr. and Mrs. has been really exciting! I thought it was going to be the same, but I feel like it’s a new honeymoon stage for us. We get to wear our rings out in public.”

Allen followed up by saying that marriage wasn’t always a part of his plan, until he met someone who made him see things differently. Just a few months after meeting each other in 2019, Allen popped the question.

“I wanted to be a dad and do music, that’s it,” he said. “I never wanted to get married. The whole husband thing was not something I ever wanted to do. But Alexis changed that. Now, I like it. It gives me some security — she can’t just be like, ‘I’m done.’ Divorce is a lot of paperwork!”

A little over a week after the big ceremony, Alexis announced on social media that she is expecting her second daughter with Allen. The last photo in the post on Instagram was a piece of paper with five names written on it: Jimmie, Lexi, Aadyn, Naomi and Baby Allen. Naomi Bettie is the couples 1-year-old daughter and Aadyn is Allen’s 7-year-old son from a previous relationship.

According to Allen, after their next daughter is welcomed into the world, he hopes to have “another baby and another baby and another baby…”

In the meantime, when Allen isn’t spending time with his family, he will be on the road as a special guest on Brad Paisley’s tour.
