Jimmie Allen is engaged!
The 33-year-old singer/songwriter proposed to his girlfriend, 23-year-old nurse Alexis Gale, on Monday (July 15) during a trip to Disney World, People confirms.
The romantic proposal, which took place in front of Cinderella’s castle at Magic Kingdom, was a family affair as several members of their families, including both of their parents, were on hand to witness the engagement.
Allen’s Disney proposal will come as no surprise to his followers as he’s an avid fan of the park and has visited a whopping 49 times.
Allen and Gale, who are from the same hometown, met earlier this year through Allen’s cousin’s wife. They began dating in the spring.
“With Alexis being from my hometown, it is like always having a piece of home with me. We had an immediate connection,” the “Best Shot” singer shared with People. “It was like we’d always known each other.”
Allen knew Gale was the one for him, especially after he introduced her to his 5-year-old son, Aadyn.
“Her smile melts me, her pure heart challenges me to love better, the way she motivates and supports me is unlike anything I’ve ever seen, the way she loves me and my son is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced,” he gushed. “It feels incredible to find the type of love I’ve been writing songs about all these years!”
Jimmie Allen’s debut album, Mercury Lane, is available everywhere now. Fans can catch him on tour with Chris Young throughout the summer.
