Grammy-Award nominated country star Jimmie Allen released the tracklist for his highly anticipated forthcoming third studio album, Tulip Drive. The 17-song record will be released on Friday, June 24th and the pre-order will become available along with the first track – “on my way,” featuring Jennifer Lopez, on Friday, May 27 at 12am ET.
“This is the first [album] where I chose to write songs about my own personal experiences, thoughts and hopes,” Allen shares in talks of Tulip Drive.
Throughout his impressive catalog, Allen has often honored his family ties through his music. His 2018 debut album Mercury Lane was titled after the street he grew up on. This time, he recognizes his grandmother, as she grew up on a street called Tulip Drive.
Bettie James & Bettie James Gold Edition, his 2020 and 2021 releases, were named in honor of his grandmother, Bettie Snead, and his father, James “Big Jim” Allen. The hitmaker wanted to recognize those two influential members of his life who passed away in 2014 and 2019.
Kicking off this fall, Allen will be supporting Carrie Underwood on “The Denim and Rhinestones Tour” until Spring of 2023. With 43 arena stops across the nation, it is sure to be a show you won’t want to miss!
The “Down Home Tour” marks Allen’s first-ever headlining tour. He has been on the road since its sold-out start in February and will conclude on August 13th at Hudson Fields in Allen’s hometown of Milton, DE with the second annual Bettie James Fest – a festival created by Allen to honor his late grandmother and father. Headlining for the second year, Allen will be supported by Lainey Wilson, We The Kings, Neon Union, Chayce Beckham, JJ Rupp, and Kounty.
