To say it’s already been an incredible week for Jimmie Allen would be an understatement. Not only did the rising star reached the top of the charts at country radio with his latest single, “Make Me Want To,” he also welcomed a daughter with his fiancée Alexis Gale that same day.
The birth of the couple’s first child was announced in a press release, which also revealed that her name is Naomi. Allen is also father to Aadyn, his son from a previous relationship.
“Super thankful for my radio team, management, band, label and booking agency on their hard work and never giving up on the song. My co-writers, Paul Sikes and Jennifer Denmark are special talents with great hearts, I love them dearly. To everyone at Country radio THANK YOU for supporting this song,” Allen shared in a statement. “The cool thing is I thought the best part of day would be getting a No. 1, but a few hours later my daughter, Naomi was born. The baby and momma are doing great. March 1st will forever be my favorite day. Never give up on your dreams or yourself. Love always wins.”
Allen and Gale previously revealed the baby’s gender while visiting his favorite place – Disney World. While staying at Disney’s Beach Club Resort, the couple popped a baloon with pink powder to reveal the gender to friends and family. The couple also got engaged while visiting “The Most Magical Place On Earth” last summer.
Jimmie Allen will follow the success of “Make Me Want To” with “This Is Us,” a power ballad featuring Noah Cyrus.
