Jon Langston is satisfying fans’ desire for new music with the release of a new song called “Drinks.”
The tune finds the Georgia native crooning over an ex in the aftermath of a breakup. While she’s moving on, he is left drowning in his memories of her.
“She’s getting drinks/ She’s going out/ Out with her friends/ I bet right now/ She’s had 3 or 4/ Raisin’ hell looking like heaven on the dance floor, oh,” Langston sings throughout the chorus, “She might leave alone/ She might fall in love/ Even when she ain’t thinking bout us/ She’s getting drinks/ And I’m getting drunk.”
“Drinks,” which was written by Langston alongside Jared Mullins and Matt Alderman, has been a staple in Langston’s setlist for the past year and has quickly become a favorite amongst his ever-growing fanbase.
“I’ve been wanting this song to be out for a long time,” he shared in a statement. “We’ve been playing it live this past year and the fans are ready for it too! I’m really excited for the world to hear this one.”
“Drinks” is Langston’s latest release following his Now You Know EP, which dropped last fall. “Now You Know,” the lead single from the six-song set, is making its way up the charts at country radio now.
“The day we wrote [‘Now You Know’], I was like, ‘Okay, this is radio, this is a jam, this is a show-opener. This is the whole package,” he previously shared with Country Now. “I sent [the demo] to everybody. I was just fired up about the song.”
Fans can catch Jon Langston headlining shows across the country as well as opening for Morgan Wallen on his Whiskey Glasses Roadshow Tour. Fans can visit Langston’s website for additional details.
