After Jon Pardi was forced to postpone and reschedule several concerts, his wife, Summer Pardi, shared an update on his health.
The Pardi Family Is On The Mend
She provided an update on the singer’s health as well as the well-being of the family, on social media in response to a follower, who asked, “How are you guys feeling?”
Summer, who wed Jon Pardi in November of 2020, was quick to reply sharing, “Getting better every day !! Ready to get back to business 🕺🏽🙌🏼”
The health update was shared alongside an adorable family photo featuring the couple with their daughter, Presley Fawn.
Why Did Jon Pardi Cancel Concerts?
The encouraging news comes after several tour setbacks for the “Dirt On My Boots” singer, who had to make the unfortunate decision to postpone several shows last week due to being diagnosed with COVID. In a somber video message to his fans, Pardi, 38, detailed his illness and revealed that his wife and young daughter, Presley, were also battling the virus.
“Just gonna cut right to the chase. I have to reschedule this weekend,” Pardi, who appeared to be visibly ill, said. “Also, I now have COVID. Presley has COVID. Summer’s probably got COVID. It’s been going around my family and band and crew. So the best thing to do is just reschedule.”
Pardi admitted he was feeling very discouraged and apologized to his fans once again for any inconvenience this may have caused them.
“Was really looking forward to this weekend, but gotta get healthy and rest,” he added. “There’s nothing fun about this. I hate this. I’m sorry once again and I hope everybody’s safe out there.”
Opry Induction
The California native came down with the illness just days after battling strep throat, which coincided with his official induction as a member of the Grand Ole Opry. Luckily, he didn’t have to postpone his Opry appearance and was able to step into the circle for the very first time as an Opry member after Garth Brooks welcomed him into the Opry family.
“It’s full circle to watch my hero, from flying around an arena in concert to right now,” Pardi said from the stage. “I love the Opry and being a part of its family. The future is so bright.”
Recently Battled A Prostate Infection
The past few weeks have been full of ups and downs for the new father. In August, he was slated to launch his Mr. Saturday Night World Tour in Belfast, Northern Ireland, however, those plans were scrapped. At the time, fans were unaware of the issues Pardi was facing, but in a recent interview on The Bobby Bones Show, the “Dirt On My Boots” singer revealed that the European dates were rescheduled as he was facing some pretty serious health issues.
“It was a prostate infection. It was a weird deal…And it gets scary,” he said, revealing that he was placed on antibiotics for 12 weeks. “The doctor checks, old-school doctor check, not fun.”
Delving deeper into the specifics he revealed he was “peeing like I was 90 years old” and that he was “pre-diabetic) during this time.
“You try to go to the bathroom, it’s hard to go and it was weird. It was out of nowhere and you could get, there’s like 600 bacterias that could do it and they’re all from weird stuff,” he explained.
Thankfully, Pardi and his family appear to be on the mend and brighter and healthier days are on the horizon.
Return To The Road
According to his official website, Pardi’s next scheduled tour date is set for November 16 in London, ON, Canada. For a complete list of upcoming tour dates and rescheduled shows, click HERE.
