Jordan Davis and his wife of two years, Kristen, are expecting their first child.

The “Take It From Me” singer shared the news exclusively with People, telling the publication, “We are so thankful and so blessed. This is a really special moment and we’ve been trying to drink it in and enjoy the process. We are looking forward to meeting the little guy or girl later this year.”

The Louisiana native, who released his debut album, Home State, in the spring of 2018, says he hopes to model his parenting style after that of his father’s.

“We’re so grateful for this blessing and if I can be anywhere near the type of father that my dad was to me that will be a really good start,” shared Davis.

He also praised his wife, saying he is confident she will be an “incredible mom.”

On top of sharing his baby news, Jordan Davis also debuted the music video for his latest single, “Slow Dance In A Parking Lot.”

The sentimental clip follows a young couple whose story begins with – you guessed it – a “Slow Dance In A Parking Lot.” Be sure to watch until the end to see the story come full circle.
