Jordan Davis shows fans his softer side with the release of his latest single, “Slow Dance In A Parking Lot.”

Written by Davis along with Lonnie Lee Fowler, “Slow Dance In A Parking Lot” is a sweet love song that chronicles the real-life story of Fowler’s first date with his wife. Not wanting their first night together to end, the couple pulls the car over to dance, soaking up every minute.

“Slow dance with you / Spinning you around by the Walmart sign / And moving our feet over the painted white lines / Getting close to you / Making the most of whatever we got / Even if it’s just a slow dance in a parking lot (Slow dance in a parking lot),” Davis sings throughout the chorus.

Davis previously revealed that this song is one of his favorite songs he’s ever written.

“‘Slow Dance In A Parking Lot’ is a really special song on my album,” the Louisiana native shares. “Getting to relive Lonnie’s first date with his wife in the writing room that day was pretty cool. We’ve been getting a great reaction when we play it during our live show so I’m really excited for fans to hear it on the road this summer.”

“Slow Dance In A Parking Lot” is Davis’ third single and follows the chart-topping success of “Singles You Up” and “Take It From Me.” All three tracks are featured on the rising star’s debut album, Home State.
