Josh Turner’s latest appearance at the Grand Ole Opry was a family affair!

The longtime Opry member recently invited his family, including wife, Jennifer, and four sons, Hampton, Colby, Hawke, and Marion, to join him on the iconic stage to perform “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” and “Joy to the World” from his newly-released Christmas album, King Size Manger.

Jennifer and their sons appear on the project, so it was only fitting that they joined him to perform on country music’s most famous stage.

King Size Manger is Turner‘s first-ever Christmas album and features 11 tracks, including new versions of classic holiday songs, as well as four originals.

“Making a Christmas record can be a mighty daunting task for an artist,” Turner previously shared of the release. “There are so many songs to choose from and there’ve been so many versions of those songs throughout history. It can be intimidating to know whether you’ll be able to measure up to what’s already been done and when I get to that point, I step back and remind myself that I have to do what I hear in my heart.”

He went on to share that some fans might be “surprised” when they hear the new songs.

“We had a lot of fun throwing out all the preconceived notions of what a Christmas record should sound like, ” he added. “In my opinion, it’s about the words and the heart and soul of how a song sounds. You don’t need jingle bells on a song to make it a Christmas song.”
