Current CMA New Artist of the Year and ACM New Male Artist of the Year Jimmie Allen continues to take the country music scene by storm with the announcement of his headlining tour- the Down Home Tour 2022.
The news comes on the heels of his very first Grammy nomination.
Set to kick off on February 3 at Troubadour in Los Angeles, CA, tickets for the tour are available to purchase via Allen’s official website.
“I’m looking forward to the Down Home Tour, my first ever headlining tour. I wanted to wait awhile before headlining because I wanted the timing to be right, I didn’t want to rush it. I wanted to make sure I was ready, my band was ready, so we could give the audience what they deserve every night – which is greatness,” Allen shared. “And I finally feel like my band and I are at a point where greatness is something we can achieve. To everyone that’s supported us so far on our journey, thank you. We look forward to seeing you and a bunch of our new friends on the Down Home Tour.”
Special guests Neon Union will be joining the star on the road. The duo, made up of members Leo Brooks and Andrew Millsaps, are the first act to sign to Allen’s service management and production company, JAB Entertainment, launched alongside John Marks and Aaron Benward. Fans can hear the pair on Allen’s track, “Livin’ Man,” from the singer’s most recent project, Bettie James Gold Edition.
2021 has been an impactful year for Allen’s career, securing the multi-platinum recording artist the sole country nomination in the all-genre category at the Grammys, a hit album full of star-studded collaborations (Bettie James Gold Edition), a successful release for his children’s book “My Voice Is A Trumpet,” the awards for New Artist of the Year at the 55th Country Music Association Awards & New Male Artist of the Year at the 56th Academy of Country Music Awards, the role of Executive Music Producer on the set of Netflix series “Titletown High” and the honor of appearing on Elton John’s newest project The Lockdown Sessions on the track “Beauty In The Bones.” The star also boasts reaching the quarterfinals on the 30th season of ABC’s Dancing With The Stars, performing at the Kennedy Center Honors to pay tribute to country legend Garth Brooks and launching the inaugural “Bettie James Fest,” located in the singer’s hometown of Milton, DE.
Named one of the “5 Black Artists Rewriting Country Music” by GRAMMY.com, Allen joined select dates for Nelly’s “Lil Bit of Music Series” tour and Brad Paisley’s headlining Tour 2021 earlier this year.
