Fans are comparing Kelly Clarkson‘s voice to that of an angel after she covered Amy Grant‘s “Breath Of Heaven” on The Kelly Clarkson Show

Taking the stage for the “Kellyoke” segment of the award-winning talk show, the Texas native shared a stunning version of the track as she donned a beautiful gold dress. Surrounded by dimly lit candles and accompanied by a piano, Clarkson’s divine performance had the studio audience on their feet for a standing ovation as they stood in awe of her breathtaking vocals.

Fans in the comments section on YouTube gushed over the performance.

“She is a Breath of Heaven! What an incredible Lady,” wrote one user, while another shared, “Wow these lights made the performance so magical plus her versatility and the attachment to the song is goosebumps, this made my night.”

“Breath Of Heaven” (Mary’s Song) was recorded by Amy Grant for her 1992 album, Home For Christmas. The song was written by Grant and Chris Eaton and has since been covered by many artists, including Jessica Simpson, Gladys Knight, and Vince Gill. 

Clarkson shares a variety of covers during the “Kellyoke” segment of her show, including a recent rendition of Blake Shelton‘s “Who Are You When I’m Not Looking” and  Faith Hill‘s “Let’s Go To Vegas.” 

She has previously performed songs such as Billy Currington’s “Let Me Down Easy,” Faith Hill’s “It Matters To Me,” Pam Tillis’ “Maybe It Was Memphis,” Wynonna’s “No One Else On Earth” and Jo Dee Messina’s “Heads Carolina, Tails California.

Other “Kellyoke” segments have also featured covers of Blake SheltonJohnny Cash, Lady A, Rascal Flatts, Travis Tritt, Shania Twain, Carrie Underwood and Kelsea Ballerini (just to name a few).
