Justin Moore is celebrating his ninth chart-topper this week as his smash hit “Why We Drink” tops both the Mediabase/Country Airplay and Billboard Country charts.

The song, which details all the reasons people need to crack open a cold one every now and then, was co-written by Moore alongside David Lee Murphy, Casey Beathard and Jeremy Stover. The boozy track was produced by Moore, Stover and Big Machine Label Group President/CEO/Founder Scott Borchetta.

The success of why we drink follows the No.1 single “The Ones That Didn’t Make It Back Home” and is the second chart-topping single from Moore’s latest album, LATE NIGHTS AND LONGNECKS.

Moore will soon release Live at the Ryman, a 17-track collection recorded in May 2018 at his first-ever headline show at the Ryman Auditorium. Out September 25, the album is set to feature duets with David Lee Murphy, Chris Janson and Ricky Skaggs.
