Kane Brown delivered a special two-song performance during Sunday’s American Music Awards 50th Anniversary Special.

The five-time AMA winner honored the legacy of country music by paying tribute to Alan Jackson with a performance of his classic hit, “Drive (For Daddy Gene).” This song was released in 2002 and is one of Alan Jackson’s biggest hits.

Later, Brown delivered an energy-filled performance of his latest hit, “Miles On It,” as confetti poured down from above the stage. This song was the follow-up to Brown’s 11th No.1 single at country radio and is currently in the Top 5 and climbing on the Mediabase Country Airplay chart. The track also features Marshlello, whom Brown previously collaborated with on the song “One Thing Right.”

Brown was introduced to the stage by Brad Paisley, who recalled inviting Brown to perform with him for his very first award show.

“I’m so proud to see the super that he’s become,” Paisley shared from the stage. “Here to sing a classic by the great Alan Jackson and a big hit of his own, my good friend, Mr. Kane Brown!”

Before the event, Brown expressed his excitement about being involved in the show.

“The AMAs have always been good to me. I think I’ve won my most awards here, so I love the AMAs and I’m so glad they invited me back,” he said while backstage.

The American Music Awards 50th Anniversary Special was in celebration of the most iconic moments in music of the past 50 years. The show, which aired on CBS and streamed live on Paramount+, also featured performances by Paisley, Nelly, Jennifer Hudson, Stray Kids, and more.

Reba McEntire, Carrie Underwood, Cedric The Entertainer, Kate Hudson, AJ McLean (Backstreet Boys), Lane Bass (*NSYNC), Samuel L. Jackson, Smokey Robinson, and more made special appearances throughout the broadcast.

Brown recently wrapped up his In The Air Tour, which brought him to arenas and massive stadiums across the country. The tour wrapped up with a show at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas on September 14. The trek was his biggest and best to date, featuring state-of-the-art production and a career-spanning set list that brought his hits to life.

The father of three is now enjoying some well-deserved downtime with his wife and their three children. According to a recent social media post, the family is on vacation at the beach in Florida.

While specific details have yet to be released, Kane Brown is preparing to debut a new album, which will serve as the follow-up to 2022’s Different Man, which spawned hits like “Thank God,” “Bury Me In Georgia,” “One Mississippi,” “Like I Love Country Music,” and the title track featuring Blake Shelton.

The superstar often teases new music on Instagram, however, he has yet to reveal a title, release date, or other details surrounding the highly anticipated project.
