Kane Brown is celebrating the recent birth of his daughter, Kingsley Rose, with the release of a heartfelt song he co-wrote just for her.
“For My Daughter” serves as a promise to Kingsley, letting her know that she will always be able to count on him, no matter what. Throughout the song, Brown, who grew up without a father in his life, assures Kingsley he’s going to be the best father he can be, despite his past.
“They say dad’s are supposed to shape you and in a way I guess mine did/ I knew what I wouldn’t do if I ever had a kid/ They say history repeats it’s self well I guess that’s up to me/ I grew up without a dad I’m gonna be the best one I can be,” the 26-year-old croons throughout the chorus.
Brown co-wrote the touching ballad with Tom Douglas and Chase McGill just after he found out his wife Katelyn was pregnant.
“I wrote this song when I found out we were officially going to become parents. I meant every word, and cannot wait to watch her grow up,” Brown shared in a statement about the song.

Kingsley Rose made her debut on Tuesday (Oct. 29). Brown shared the news of her arrival via Instagram the following day, writing, “KB3 welcome to the family Kingsley Rose Brown.”
Kingsley is the couple’s first child and was born just weeks after Kane and Katelyn celebrated their first wedding anniversary.
Kane Brown will be able to enjoy quite a bit of family time as his next scheduled tour date isn’t until December 8.
