As Kane Brown’s latest single, “Homesick,” nears the top of the charts, the superstar took to social media to tease his next single. (Well, sort of.)

In a Tweet to his 1.6 million + followers, Brown revealed that for the first time in his career, he will not offer fans a preview of his new music on social media before it hits country radio.

“This next radio single will be my first one that no one has heard on my social media before it’s released,” he wrote.

Fans quickly replied to the post, begging for more details. Brown didn’t offer too much information, but he did hint that the new single would be more upbeat.

When one fan asked him to release the poignant “For My Daughter,” which he debuted after the birth of his baby girl Kingsley Rose in the fall, or “Sorry To You,” his collaboration with John Legend, Brown replied, “Can’t release those for summer, plus can’t come from ballad with another ballad to radio.”

No release date for the single has been set, however, it’s safe to assume that it won’t be unveiled until “Homesick” peaks at country radio. The heartfelt song is currently in the Top 5.

Kane Brown just returned from Europe where he kicked off his headlining Worldwide Beautiful Tour with sold-out shows in cities such as Dublin, London and Amsterdam. The North American leg of the tour kicks off February 29 in Atlantic City.
