Kane Brown’s grandfather, Steve Allen Brown, passed away on Friday, September 11. He was 65 years old.
According to his obituary, Brown was a life-long resident of the Chattanooga, Tennessee area. He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Edy Brown, as well as his daughter, Tabatha Brown, his grandchildren Kane Brown and CJ Cordell, great-grandchildren, Brayden Cordell and Kingsley Brown, brother Johnny Brown, and sisters Wanda Sue Campbell and Linda Morrison.
Kane and his grandfather were said to have been close. They also share the same middle name, Allen.

Lauren Jo Black is a longtime member of the Country Music Association and the Academy of Country Music.
