Keith Urban just revealed that his new album, The Speed of Now Part 1, will arrive on September 18, 2020.
The superstar shared the news on social media on Friday (May 8) with an innovative video that previews several of the album’s tracks, including the previously released “Polaroid,” and never before heard songs “Tumbleweed,” “Change Your Mind,” “Wait” and “Superman.”
In the clip, Urban explains that the album’s title came to him in 2019 at a time when life seemed to be racing by at a faster pace than ever before, however, now, the title has taken on a “whole new meaning” as the world grapples with the COVID-10 pandemic.
The Speed of Now Part 1 is the follow-up to 2018’s Graffiti U and is Urban’s 11th studio album.
Keith Urban has done his best to stay connected with fans while in quarantine with his wife, Nicole Kidman, and daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret. The four-time Grammy winner and reigning ACM Entertainer of the Year, has taken to social media several times to stream live performances directly to fans and also appeared during the star-studded One World: Together at Home special where he covered Steve Winwood’s “Higher Love.”
