Kelly Clarkson and Brett Eldredge brought the Christmas spirit to NBC’s The Voice on Tuesday (Dec. 8), taking the stage for a performance of their brand new holiday duet, “Under The Mistletoe.”
Co-written by Clarkson and Aben Eubanks, “Under The Mistletoe” is a modern Christmas love song that finds the pair questioning if there is something more between them. Ultimately, they decide to take a leap of faith as they meet “Under The Mistletoe.”
“Push my pride aside/ When I close my eyes/ It’s just you and I/ Here under the mistletoe/ Magic fills the air/ Standin’ over there/ Santa hear my prayer/ Here under the mistletoe,” they sing on the chorus while backed by percussion, horns and jingle bells.

Clarkson initially shared the news of their Christmas collab during an extensive interview on NBC’s “Sunday TODAY with Willie Geist” podcast. After revealing plans to release a new, full-length album next year, Clarkson revealed that she has two new Christmas songs on the way for the upcoming holiday season.
“I actually have a couple Christmas things dropping too, that were very random,” she said at the time. “A duet with Brett Eldredge, who I love, that I wrote, and a cover song. So it’s like an A/B side thing that’s coming out for Christmas.”
