Kelly Clarkson just covered one of Jo Dee Messina’s biggest hits during the “Kellyoke” segment on The Kelly Clarkson Show and fans are loving it.

The superstar offered her own take on the 1996 hit “Heads Carolina, Tails California.” Clarkson’s powerful pipes were on full display throughout the spirited tune and her performance reminded fans just how incredible this song is.

“Heads Carolina, Tails California” was released by Messina in January 1996 as the lead single from her self-titled debut album. The song reached the Top 10 at country radio and remains one of Messina’s biggest hits to date.
