Kelsea Ballerini is sending “The Other Girl,” her collaboration with pop star Halsey, to country radio.

Featured on her self-titled new album, kelsea, “The Other Girl” finds the vocal powerhouses pondering over a relationship they have with the same man.

“Is it me? Is it you? Tell me who, who’s the other girl,” they question on the chorus.

Throughout the song, they admit that they know about each other and wonder what “The Other Girl” is like.

“I bet you’re from out west somewhere/ Hazel eyes and dark brown hair/ And everything you wear fits you just right/ I bet you drink martinis dry/ And never let ’em see you cry/ I bet you’re more promiscuous than I,” Kelsea sings on the first verse.

“The Other Girl” is a bit more pop-leaning than some of Ballerini’s previous releases. According to a press release, an alternate mix than what appears on the album, dubbed “the other mix,” is being sent to country radio on Monday (April 20).

I always like to zig-zag with singles to show different sides of who I am as an artist, and ‘the other girl’ is the perfect next song to showcase this,” Ballerini explains. “It’s a dark and angsty story song that is completely different than ‘homecoming queen,’ and really anything else I’ve gotten to share to date. Having Halsey, who is a massive country fan and close friend, as a part of it, adds a magic that I will be so excited to hear on my favorite radio stations.”

“The Other Girl” was co-written by Ballini, Shane McAnally and Ross Copperman. Click above to listen.
