Lainey Wilson shared a heartfelt video message with fans on Tuesday, thanking them for their overwhelming support in the wake of her father’s health issues

Wilson also gave an update on her dad and asked for continued prayers.

“Hey y’all, I just wanted to jump on here and check in on everything that has happened this past week. As a lot of y’all probably already know, my daddy has not been doing well. He is in ICU here in Houston. Along with just trying to just deal with this terrible situation, I just want you to know that I have seen the power of prayer start to work miracles,” she somberly shared.

The Louisiana native went on to share her gratitude for the country music community for rallying around her father and her family.

“Every single prayer, every single heart, has been felt by me and my family. My country music family, my Fast Lainers, friends from all around the world, my team, the Yellowstone cast and crew – the support and outreach has been unreal and overwhelming and it does not go unnoticed,” she said. “I just wanted to say how much it means and let you know it truly is working miracles. He still has a long way to go, so please keep the prayers coming if you can because I know that it is truly making all the difference in the world.”

After canceling her scheduled tour dates last week to be by her father’s side, Wilson revealed plans to return to the road in her dad’s honor.

“If anybody has got a heart like a truck, it is him. And as much as I want to spend time – every minute of every hour at my daddy’s side and my family’s side – I know that he takes pride in hard work, so that’s what I’m gonna do,” she said. “So I will be back on the road this weekend, singing every note for him, and making him proud.”

Fans and fellow artists rallied around Wilson in the comments, sharing words of encouragement and prayers.

On Thursday, July 28, Lainey Wilson took to social media to ask followers to pray for her “deddy.”

“My cowboy. Please keep lifting him up in prayer. Toughest man I know. ❤️,” she wrote.

Her sister later shared an update on his health via social media, revealing that he underwent a procedure to remove fungus from her dad’s body. The surgery reportedly went well and doctors prescribed him an antifungal medicine.

According to Wilson’s latest update her father remains in the ICU.

Lainey Wilson’s next scheduled tour date is set for August 4 at the YouTube Theater in Inglewood, California with Jon Pardi and Hailey Whitters. She’s also set to play at the Santa Barbara Bowl in Santa Barbara, California on August 5 and Red Rock in Las Vegas, Nevada on August 6.
