Lainey Wilson recently announced that her brand-new album will be dropping August 23, 2024, and is fittingly titled Whirlwind, which perfectly sums up her musical journey over the past year. She has already given fans a taste with her latest release, “Hang Tight Honey,” but during her upcoming performance at the 59th Academy of Country Music Awards, fans might get to hear even more new music from the female powerhouse.

“I’m going to be on my toes too because it’s going to be an energetic performance. I’m excited,” the “Wildflowers And Wild Horses” singer told Country Now.

What It Means To Be Nominated For Entertainer Of The Year

Wilson is heading into the esteemed award show as a five-time nominee in the categories of Female Artist of the Year, Song of the Year (“Heart Like A Truck”), Music Event of the Year (“Save Me” with Jelly Roll)” and Entertainer of the Year.

Claiming a trophy for any of these titles would be incredibly exciting, but nabbing Entertainer of the year, the highest honor of the night, would just be further proof that all of her hard work is not going unnoticed.

“Just to be nominated, it means that we have been busting our tail,” Lainey Wilson shared. “I just think of all the blood, sweat and tears and everything that has gone into this. I’ve been in Nashville for 13 years and even though it seems like the last year has been the pinnacle for me, there’s still a lot of time and sacrifices that you have to make, just like anything in life.”

Luckily, being in the country music community, Wilson feels the constant support from her peers as she continues to navigate this rollercoaster of a career.

She admitted, “Everybody really does have each other’s back.”

Wilson Will Walk The ACM Awards Red Carpet With Her Mom

Last year Wilson made her red carpet debut with her boyfriend, Devlin “Duck” Hodges at the ACM Awards, but this year he will be taking a backseat and instead, her mom will be joining her for the momentous occasion.

“My mama’s going to be my arm candy.”
