Little Big Town is celebrating a slew of milestones in 2024. Not only is this their 25th year together as a band, but they have also earned their 18th nomination for ACM Group of the Year. This ties the group for the all-time record of 18 nominations in this category held by legendary country band, Alabama. Little Big Town has been nominated in this category every year since 2005, except for 2011.

Going into the 59th Academy of Country Music Awards this week, they are vying for the title alongside Flatland Cavalry, Lady A, Old Dominion and Zac Brown Band. The four-piece group has also been tapped as presenters for the highly anticipated evening.

“This is our 25th year together and so the fact that we made it this far and we’re still making harmonies and we’re still in that vocal category, it means so much to us,” they shared with Country Now.

There will be plenty of exciting things happening throughout the awards show, but Little Big Town revealed they are especially looking forward to seeing Kelsea Ballerni and Noah Kahan take the stage, in addition to all the other star-studded collaborations. Plus, they are overjoyed that Reba McEntire will hosting and performing throughout the evening.

“We adore Reba, she has our whole heart.”

What’s Next For Little Big Town?

Even though they have been together for a quarter of a century, Little Big Town says they are still loving every moment of their careers together and are showing no signs of slowing down. In fact, they teased that they have been in the studio cooking up some new tunes that they are eager to get out to fans.

“We still are so inspired to get in the studio and make new music, been doing that lately too, in a lot of different ways. It’s just a great celebration. It’s such an unbelievable journey we’ve been on and we’re so grateful and so glad to be inspired and still doing stuff.”

Unfortunately, the group is remaining tight lipped on what their new music entails and when it will be dropping, but listeners recently got a taste of what’s to come through their newest release with Sugarland titled “Take Me Home.”

This song offers a glimpse into their upcoming tour with the country duo taking place this fall.
