Country music sensation Lainey Wilson stole the spotlight at the 2024 People’s Choice Awards on Sunday (Feb. 18) in a daring ensemble that perfectly encapsulated her bold bell-bottom country style.

Wilson Dons Show-Stopping Jumpsuit

Commanding attention in a skin-tight bell-bottom leopard print jumpsuit, Wilson exuded confidence as she made her way down the star-studded red carpet. The Louisiana native’s jumpsuit featured a halter neckline and a daring keyhole neck. She topped off her look with a wide-brimmed black hat.

Wilson’s hair and makeup artist, Jess Berrios Mylott, dubbed her glam a “dusty cowgirl vibe.”

All About Her Glam

“A natural glam enhances her quintessential beauty and power. Always Sculpted glowing skin with a soft smokey eye, a neutral 90s lip for carpet. Lainey’s glam is always about enhancing her features in a way that allows HER God-given beauty to shine, so you see Lainey and not the makeup. That is dusty cowgirl glam!!”

She used Tom Ford Beauty foundation. For her lips, Mylott says she opted for Charlotte Tilbury liner and “Pink Lily lip oil In The Nude for that iconic hydrated nude lip.”

Wilson’s “dusty cowgirl” glam was completed with “Danessa Myrick’s Groundwork Palette with GXVE cream eyeshadow in Pogo.

An “Iconic” Performance

Wilson is set to deliver an “iconic” performance at the 2024 People’s Choice Awards, which will be hosted by actor Simu Liu at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, CA. She’s one of just three artists slated to perform during the show; Australian singer/songwriter Kylie Minogue and 2024 Music Icon Award recipient Lenny Kravitz will also take the stage.

Is Lainey Wilson Nominated For People’s Choice Awards?

The “Watermelon Moonshine” singer is heading into the annual show with two nominations in the categories of Female Artist of the Year and Female Country Artist of the Year. This will mark the first year that the all-genre People’s Choice Awards has expanded their nomination categories to include two dedicated to country music – Female Country Artist and Male Country Artist of the Year.

Nominees for The Male Country Artist of the Year award include Chris Stapleton, Cody Johnson, HARDY, Jelly Roll, Kane Brown, Luke Combs, Morgan Wallen, and Zach Bryan.

Meanwhile, several of these country stars, and more, also appear in some of the all-genre categories for 2024.

Wallen and Combs are both vying for Male Artist of the Year, Song of the Year with “Last Night” and “Fast Car,” Album of the Year with Gettin’ Old and One Thing At A Time, and Concert Tour of the Year.

Jelly Roll is also up for New Artist of the Year while Old Dominion and Dan + Shay are in the running for Group/Duo of the Year and Zach Bryan is a nominee in the Collaboration of the Year category alongside Kacey Musgraves for their GRAMMY-winning hit, “I Remember Everything.”

The 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards airs live on Sunday, Feb. 18 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC, Peacock, and E! from Santa Monica’s 35,000-square-foot Barker Hangar venue.
