Lainey Wilson reflects on her Whirlwind of a journey in her highly anticipated new album dropping globally on August 23 via BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville.

Produced by GRAMMY ® -award winner, Jay Joyce, Whirlwind keys listeners in on some of Wilson’s most personal stories to date as she gives a raw look into her life that has taken her around the world with plenty of ups and downs along the way.

What To Expect From The New Tunes

The project is described as being “an innovative and grounded extension of Wilson’s signature sound.” This means that fans can expect to experience a wide-range of emotions while listening to the “diverse yet sonically cohesive” collection of new tunes that honor the multi-platinum GRAMMY ® -award winning artist’s Western roots.

“I am so excited to finally announce Whirlwind. This album has been a long time coming and I can’t wait for the world to have this body of work in their hands soon,” Wilson said in a recent release. “This new chapter of music is the most cathartic and personal piece of art I’ve ever made. I hope this record brings some peace to your whirlwind and wraps its arms around you like it did for me.”

“Wildflowers And Wild Horses” Hits No. 1

Shortly before sharing this exciting news, the country superstar nabbed her seventh consecutive No.1 song at Country Radio with her current single, “Wildflowers and Wild Horses.”

“It’s such an honor to have ‘Wildflowers and Wild Horses,’ No.1 at Country Radio. This song has such a special place in my heart, as a fifth-generation farmer’s daughter and someone who grew up on wide open land,” Wilson said as she reflected on the newest addition to her resume of accomplishments.
