Larry Fleet surprised fans with the new live duet of his breakout single, “Where I Find God” featuring Morgan Wallen.
Fleet recently finished up his stint as support for Wallen on his highly sought-after Dangerous Tour that has been taking over the country music scene since it began in February. This previously-recorded performance took place in Allentown, PA when the labelmates shared the stage as part of the tour.
With the elegant strum of his guitar, Fleet kicked off the performance as he sang the opening verse without a hitch. Then, under the bright spotlight, the crowd watched in awe as Wallen joined in and together, they delivered a stunning rendition of the song that’s featured on Fleet’s latest album, Stack of Records.
“We find God in our own time and in our own places… for me, it’s in a deer stand and a hayfield and fishing, usually when I’m outside and by myself, but this particular night in East Pennsylvania, it felt like a whole room of folks found him,” Fleet shares reflecting on the night of their collaborative performance.
Fleet wrote the powerful message of “Where I Find God” alongside talented songwriter Connie Harrington.
He continued, “I hear from folks daily about what this song means to them, and so after talking it over with Morgan, we wanted to share our version together.”
“From a bar stool, to that Evinrude / sunday mornin’ in a church pew / In a deer stand or a hay field / an interstate back to nashville / In a Chevrolet with the windows down / me and him just ridin’ around yeah sometimes…whether I’m lookin’ for him or not That’s where I find God,” they sing in the chorus.
The “Working Man” singer shared the breathtaking video on social media with the caption, “Loved getting to sing this song together every night for y’all on The Dangerous Tour.”
Fans flooded the comments with praise and desperation for the ability to stream the live recording.
The soulful singer quickly gained fans attention in his career with his songs like “Mix ‘Em With Whiskey” and “Working Man.” On September 24th of 2021, Fleet then kept the ball rolling with the release of his full-length debut album, which features “Where I Find God.”
Morgan Wallen continues with his busy schedule as the Dangerous Tour is set to hit several more dates before the end of the month.
Larry Fleet is taking a new leap in his career as he is set to embark on his debut headlining One For The Road Tour Beginning Sept. 15 in Omaha, NE. He will continue through October with support from Nate Smith, Tyler Booth and Megan Moroney.
“I’m fired up to get on the road this fall to travel across the country doing what I love, and I hope everyone makes it out to join in on the party. Thankful for Nate, Tyler, and Megan for lending their talents on the tour and adding to the shows,” Fleet shared.
