Lauren Alaina will take the stage for the television debut of her brand-new song, “Just Wanna Know That You Love Me” during Monday evening’s (July 3) episode of ABC’s The Bachelorette.
The American Idol alum is set to perform the song during a special one-on-one date between the newest Bachelorette, Charity Lawson, and one of her suitors.
Alaina shared her excitement over the performance on social media ahead of show when she shared a photo of herself with the bachelorette. In true Lauren Alaina form, the caption included a pun.
The Bachelorette Performance
“I really ROSE to the occasion for my new friend, @CharityLawson. Tune in to The Bachelorette tonight for a performance of a new song from yours truly, 🌹” Alaina wrote, alongside the hashtags: #BachelorNation #TheBachelorette.
Lawson was quick to reply, stating, “The most beautiful!! Simply adore you 💕😘 everyone go listen to this song – right now!!!!”
Produced by Joey Moi and Co-written by Brandy Clark, Joybeth Taylor and Sam Ellis, “Just Wanna Know That You Love Me” finds the songstress crooning over her lover, admitting that she doesn’t need luxurious things in life to be happy. Instead, she finds peace in knowing that her other half loves her for who she is.
“I don’t need that house custom built, painted white / With a wrap-around porch and a swing / I don’t need the riches that money can buy / I just wanna know that you love me / I just wanna know that you love me,” Alaina sings on the chorus.
Listen
“Just Wanna Know That You Love Me” follows the release of Lauren Alaina’s latest EP, Unlocked, which arrived on June 9. The project features 6 tracks, including “A Walk In The Bar,” “Hangovers,” “Don’t Judge A Woman,” “Smaller The Town,” “Like Her” as well as “Thicc As Thieves,” a collaboration that features Lainey Wilson.
Unlocked Is Out Now
Of the new project, Lauren Alaina explained that it’s very country and that she intended for it to be that way.
“It’s country through and through, there’s nothing pop about it. Nothing pop about it, which I was very intentional about. I spent a ton of time with my family over the last few years and back home in Rossville, Georgia where I came from… I want[ed] to make a record that the girls in my hometown will be proud of,” she explained on Today’s Country Radio with Kelleigh Bannen on Apple Music Country. “That will represent them… I’m in just a different season, I’m in a season where home is the most important thing to me and I feel like I’ve found my forever homes everywhere with the label, with the music, with Joey [Moi] as my producer, with [my fiancé] Cameron [Arnold] and my family in general.”
Big Loud Records Debut
Unlocked marks Lauren Alaina’s first release since signing with Big Loud Records. Prior to her time at Big Loud Records, Alaina was signed to Universal Music Group’s Mercury Nashville imprint.
“I’ve got a label that matches my personality — big, loud, and country,” Alaina told Billboard of her label switch. “I just really believe in the music that comes out of that building. I think that they are producing the best music in Nashville.”
Additionally, this summer, Lauren Alaina is slated to hit the road for a slew of performances at various fairs and festivals.
Lauren Alaina will also join the North American leg of Pentatonix’s World Tour, which kicks off on August 9 at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, Florida. The trek continues through September 16, where it wraps up in Puyallup, WA at Washington State Fair Events Center.
“I can’t be VOCAL enough about how excited I am for this tour!” Alaina previously shared.
