American Idol Season 19 winner Chayce Beckham is making his official country radio debut with the release of “Can’t Do Without Me,” a duet with his labelmate, Lindsay Ell.
Out now, the steamy track finds the pair crooning over their desire to be together after spending time apart.
“Baby I’m dying to catch that lighting I only find from your fingertips/ I’ve been missing and wishing to feel your kiss/ And your hands all on my skin/ It won’t be long ’til we are burning up ’em sheets/ And doing all those things that you can’t do without me,” they sing on the chorus.
“Can’t Do Without Me” showcases Beckham’s gritty country/rock vocals and Ell’s powerhouse pipes amongst country-pop production.
Produced by Ross Copperman and co-written by Jordan Walker, Trannie Anderson and Michael Carter, the sexy song will officially hit radio on Monday, December 13.
Working with Lindsay on this song was a blast,” Beckham previously shared. “Being in the studio with such a talented artist really took this song to another level for me.”
“There is such a raw intensity in this song that when A&R brought it to me, I knew I had to cut it—it hit me like lightning,” added Ell. “Chayce, wow, did he bring it on this song. I had heard so many great things about him but he more than understood the assignment on this one.”
