The wait for Thomas Rhett’s brand new single, “What’s Your Country Song,” is over.
Out now, the song finds Rhett name-dropping several iconic country songs such as Alabama’s “Dixieland Delight,” George Strait’s “All My Ex’s Live In Texas,” Garth Brooks’ “Friends In Low Places,” “That Ain’t My Truck,” by his father, Rhett Akins, and so many more.
Written by Thomas Rhett alongside Rhett Akins, Jesse Frasure, Ashley Gorley and Parker Welling, “What’s Your Country Song” serves as the lead single from Rhett’s yet-to-be-announced fifth studio album.
“We wrote this song on the road last year in Dallas, Texas,” Rhett previously shared in a statement. “It’s really about how I was noticing that no matter where you live or where you’re from, everyone has a little bit of country inside their bones.”
The superstar originally teased the tune on social media with an acoustic performance in April. Since then, the video has raked in over one million views on Instagram alone.
