Blake Shelton had two of his team members face off with one of Kane Brown’s biggest hits during The Voice Battle Rounds on Tuesday (Nov. 10).
Team Blake’s Jim Ranger and John Sullivan took on Brown’s 2019 hit, “Good As You,” and were surprised to find out that Brown was actually on hand as a Battle Advisor.

“This song is about my wife, it’s basically saying you’re such a good person,” Brown explained of the chart-topping hit.
He went on to share how he wrote the song about his wife, Katelyn, and that he had “the biggest smile” on his face when writing it. The superstar shared a few words of wisdom with the contestants.
“Just mess around with it, just do whatever you want to do,” he shared of the song. “There’s nothing that you can do that’s gonna mess it up.”
“I hope so much we did this Kane Brown song justice,” Ranger said prior to their performance.

John Legend said their performance had a nice “sunny vibe” and went on to compliment both vocalists.
Kelly compared the two to John Mayer and Keith Urban and said she “loved” their performance.
Shelton was left with a tough decision between Ranger and Sullivan.
“It sucks, but I have to make this decision. The winner of this battle is Jim,” he revealed.
