Love and Theft’s Eric Gunderson and his wife Emily are the proud parents of a brand new baby boy.

Born on Independence Day at 8:30 am CT, Hayes Michael entered the world weighing 5lbs, 8 oz. Gunderson announced the family’s new addition on Instagram in a sweet post welcoming Hayes Michael to “life outside the womb.”

“So proud to be this little boys daddy,” Gunderson wrote in a separate post. “Thanks for all of the messages, we are so excited…and ready to go home.”

According to the singer’s post, his wife, Emily, is “feeling great” after Hayes’ delivery.

Little Hayes joins big brother, Camden William, 6, who is “already impressing” the rest of the family with his big brother skills.

Gunderson is one half of country music duo Love and Theft, who is best known for hits like “Angel Eyes” and “Runaway.”
