Luke Bryan has been forced to pull out of another weekend of shows as he continues to battle an illness. The hitmaker took to Instagram on Wednesday, June 26, to share the disappointing news with fans, explaining that while he had hoped to recover by now, his voice hasn’t healed enough to deliver the kind of performance he’s known for.

He wrote, “I’m really sorry to say I won’t be able to play this weekend’s shows due to continued illness. I’ve been hoping to rally, but my voice is just not there yet.”

Bryan was originally scheduled to headline three festivals this weekend: Country Stampede in Bonner Springs, KS (Thursday, June 26), NebraskaLand Days in North Platte, NE (Friday, June 27), and Country Jam in Grand Junction, CO (Saturday, June 28).

All Tickets Still Valid

Thankfully, longtime friend and fellow country superstar Eric Church is stepping in to save the weekend.

Church will perform on the Main Stage Country Stampede 2025 at Azura Amphitheater from 9:30-11pm on Thursday night. The festival’s official Instagram page declared, that “all tickets are still valid.”

The following night, he’s set to headline NebraskaLand Days. Festival officials stated that anyone who originally purchased for Bryan’s performance will still be valid, with refund requests accepted until 5 p.m. on June 25 for those who would no longer wish to attend.

Eric Church will close out his weekend of performances at Country Jam on Saturday. According to the festival’s website, weekend and single day passes are still available.

Luke Bryan Shares Gratitude For Fellow Country Act

Bryan made sure to thank Church personally, writing, “Huge thanks to my buddy Eric Church for stepping in last minute – and of course, putting on a kick ass show like he always does.”

Church responded in a statement on Instagram saying, “Festivals are part of the fabric of what made us who we are. Happy to fill in for Luke while he’s on the mend. Not a lot of time to plan or get the whole crew together, so I’m bringing Joe and we’re going to do something unique and spontaneous.”

Bryan concluded his message by letting fans know that he is eager to return to the stage.

“Sitting still is not what I do best so I can’t wait to be back soon. Love y’all, Luke.”

Vocal Issues Continue

This news comes just a few days after the “Love you, Miss You, Mean It” singer unexpectedly started to experience vocal issues that prevented him from putting on his best show possible in Rogers, AR. Feeling like his performance wasn’t up to par, Bryan announced he’d be refunding everyone in attendance.

He proceeded to reschedule two other shows originally set to take place last weekend. The Georgia native will now take the stage in Lafayette, LA on September 11 and Dallas, TX on September 12. These shows will mark the end of his current Country Song Came On Tour.  Anyone who purchased tickets for the original dates are being advised to “hold on to your tickets” as they will be honored for the rescheduled shows.

Luke Bryan is not scheduled to take the stage again until next month. He currently has three back-to-back shows in Toronto, ON (July 10), Cuyahoga Falls, OH (July 11) and Hershey, PA (July 12).

Any further updates regarding Bryan’s health will be shared across his official social media platforms.
