The “Country On” singer then began to tell a story about how his mom lives at the beach and wanted to move closer to the beach, but got sidetracked by talking about her relationship with Caroline Bryan.
“The fact that her and my wife have created this whole fun stuff on Instagram long, as long as they’re getting along, I’m just like, ‘y’all go pull up flowers and dig weeds all you want and put on Instagram,’ he explained. “I’m cool with it.”

In the spring of 2022, LeClaire shared a photo of Luke Bryan from a powder puff football game in high school where he and some of his friends traded football jerseys for cheerleader uniforms. Kimmel got his hands on the image and asked Luke about it after displaying it on national television.
“That’s the most muscle mass I’ve ever had right there,” Bryan laughed.
He went on to explain, “Yeah, that was what we called a powder puff football game with the girls. Oh, yeah. Played football. And somehow last minute I got wrangled into that… That photo really was never supposed to leave her home. And here we have it. There you go!”
Bryan, who is currently serving as a judge on the 21st season of American Idol also opened up about his friendship with Blake Shelton and how he helped convince him to join the Idol cast.
“I called him and at the time he was just like, man, it’s going to change your life,” Bryan recalled. “And it really has. I mean, when you’re in a cab in New York City and the cab driver who is from another country goes, I see you on American Idol, it really puts you in front of a whole ‘nother audience. And you don’t know that when you sign up. But it, it’s been a really, really, really fun thing.”
The Georgia native and fellow judges, Lionel Richie and Katy Perry, are on the hunt for the next American Idol winner. The show recently unveiled its Top 26.

American Idol
Bryan is currently in the midst of his sixth season on the show. He recently weighed in on if and when he plans to leave.
“I think in this business, when you’re touring and doing TV, you’ve got to wake-up and be motivated to do it,” he told Audacy’s KMLE Country 107.9 (Phoenix).
“And I’m not sure when my timeframe is on anything – I really enjoy being part of American Idol, but I do miss a lot of time at home, so there’s always a balance.”
