On Thursday, September 26, just hours before the release of his eighth studio album, Mind of a Country Boy, Luke Bryan braved the rain showers to put on a two-hour show for thousands of fans at Mulberry Orchard in Shelbyville, Kentucky as part of his Farm Tour.
Fans Flock to Mulberry Orchard
Several hours before the show, the parking lot began filling up as fans flocked to the orchard-turned-concert venue, eager to catch early performances from special guests Tucker Wetmore, The Peach Pickers, and Conner Smith.
A Rainy Night in Shelbyville
As bands of rain from Hurricane Helene approached from the south, the weather looked ominous for most of the evening, but it stayed dry—right up until Luke Bryan took the stage.
But, the superstar didn’t let the rain dampen the night. As the lights came up and the rain poured down, Bryan hit the stage with a smile.
A Promise To Make the Best Of The Circumstances
“What’s up, Kentucky?” he shouted, as the crowd erupted in cheers at his arrival.
To the sea of fans filling the orchard, he made a promise: “Rain or not, we’re fixing to have a good time!”

He kept that promise, delivering hit after hit, kicking off with “That’s My Kind of Night,” followed by the fitting choice, “Rain Is a Good Thing.”
Luke Bryan Keeps the Energy High
As steady rain continued, Bryan kept the energy and feel-good vibes up with performances of “Move,” “One Margarita,” “But I Got A Beer In My Hand,” and more.
Never once did he complain about the weather, however, in true Luke Bryan fashion, he joked, “Congratulations, we’re all getting the flu tomorrow.”
As always, he engaged with the audience all night long. At one point, he even drew a fan’s tattoo and later signed a prosthetic leg (among other items).
Bryan also paused to express heartfelt gratitude to everyone who came out to support Farm Tour, now in its 15th year: “You chose to come to the Farm Tour… I love you, I love you so much!”
Following performances of songs like “Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye,” his chart-climbing single, “Love You, Miss You, Mean It,” and the always fan-favorite “Drunk On You,” Bryan welcomed rising stars Tucker Wetmore and Conner Smith back to the stage for a rowdy rendition of “This Is How We Roll,” before slowing things down a bit for a performance of his first-ever No.1 single, “Do I.” In this moment, Bryan’s vocals truly shined, arguably sounding better than they have in weeks. While he often doesn’t receive the recognition he deserves as a vocalist, this performance was a powerful reminder of his vocal talent and range.

Bryan’s band took a quick break, allowing the Georgia native to strip things down a bit with an acoustic segment that included a nod to Luke Combs with “Hurricane,” as well as a performance of his chart-topper “Country On,” which led to a U-S-A chant.
Tribute to Toby Keith
Before moving on to sing the always emotional “Drink A Beer,” Bryan took a moment to honor the late Toby Keith with a performance of “Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue (The Angry American).”
“God bless Toby Keith,” he shared from the stage, evoking a massive roar of applause from fans.
New Album Out Now
As members of his band made their way back to the stage, Bryan reminded fans that his new album was dropping at midnight.
“Y’all go buy it because it’s the greatest album in the history of mankind,” he said with a laugh and later added, “I approve this message.”
The rain never once let up and neither did Bryan, who kept the party going with “Kick The Dust Up,” “Play It Again,” “I Don’t Want This Night To End,” and show-closer “Country Girl (Shake It For Me).”
Despite the inclement weather, Luke Bryan did what he does best: entertain. Since day one, he’s proven to be a true entertainer and has shown us time and time again why he deserves to be a five-time Entertainer of the Year award winner.
The Farm Tour continues tonight in Millersport, Ohio, and is set to wrap up on Saturday in Smithton, Pennsylvania.
Supporting Farming Families
Since its launch in 2009, the Farm Tour has attracted thousands of fans to farms nationwide. Coming from a farming family himself, Bryan is committed to supporting farming families by offering college scholarships to students from agricultural backgrounds who attend local colleges or universities during the tour stops. To date, 83 scholarships have been awarded.
In addition, through a partnership with Bayer, Bryan launched the Here’s to the Farmer initiative to benefit Feeding America. This campaign honors American farmers for their vital role in providing essential nutrition to people both nationwide and around the world. Fans can express their support on social media by using the hashtag #HeresToTheFarmer until October 31, 2024. So far, this initiative has helped deliver over 8 million meals to individuals facing hunger through the Feeding America® network of food banks.
