The wait for a new Luke Bryan album is almost over. The country superstar just announced plans to release his highly anticipated eighth studio album, Mind Of A Country Boy, on September 27.
The Album Will Include 14 Songs
The 14-track project finds Bryan once again teaming up with father and son producer duo Jeff and Jody Stevens and showcases the Georgia native’s love for his family, hunting, fishing, and more.
In the four years that have passed since 2020’s Born Here, Live Here, Die Here, Bryan has taken the time to carefully hand-pick songs for the project and promises it is worth the wait.
“I’ve been able to take my time and really compile songs for this album,” the five-time Entertainer of the Year shared. “If it’s a song that I cut two or three years ago, and I still love it, and it still sounds fresh, then I feel like it’ll stand the test of time.”
Included in the newly released track listing are the previously released “Country On,” “But I Got A Beer In My Hand,” “Southern and Slow,” the title track, and his chart-climbing single, “Love You, Miss You, Mean It.” To celebrate the album announcement, Bryan released “Closing Time In California” to all streaming platforms.
Bryan Promises The Project Won’t Be “Overly Redundant”
The American Idol judge assures that the album will be well-rounded, offering something for everyone, with a few surprises in store.
“I think this album, as I’ve tried to do with all my albums, just has a little bit of everything. I do some things different vocally on this one that I’ve not done before. It’s about each song having its place and having its meaning. It’s trying not to be overly redundant with songs. I think that’s why I’ve been blessed to have a long career and what I feel like this album’s going to do,” Bryan, who released his debut album in 2007, explained.

2024 Mind Of A Country Boy Tour Underway
A true road warrior, Bryan will release the project just days after wrapping his 2024 Mind Of A Country Boy Tour, which is set to roll through California this weekend.
“I’m still having a lot of fun in my concerts, and it’s still a big ole party,” he said. “But I think as you grow older and mature, subject matters change and things that you can sing about change. But the love of trying to find the right song and a song that moves people is still at the forefront of what I want to do as an artist.”
Later this year, Bryan will launch his Farm Tour 2024, making stops in six farming communities around the U.S, and early next year, he will celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Crash My Playa. The destination event will feature a can’t-miss lineup featuring Bryan alongside Jason Aldean, Kane Brown, Bailey Zimmerman, Dustin Lynch, Dylan Scott, Elle King, Jackson Dean, Nate Smith, Dasha, Ella Langley, Tucker Wetmore, and DJ Rock.
