Luke Combs is giving fans a taste of more new music ahead of the release of his new deluxe album, What You See Ain’t Always What You Get.

The superstar just dropped an acoustic video of the fan-favorite track, “Cold As You” as part of his weekly acoustic series leading up to the October 23 release of the album.

After teasing the song on stage at the Opry earlier this year and debuting the full tune during one of his online acoustic performances, the breakup song quickly became a favorite among the superstar’s fan base.

The tune finds Combs crooning over a broken heart, turning to his favorite local hang to drink off the heartbreak.

“They got ’Whiskey River’ on a jukebox/ The honky-tonk sawdust dance floor/ A neon, five o’clock, pro clock/ Plenty damn many when you want one more/ Of this broke heart fool on an old bar stool/ Drinkin’ beer almost as cold as you,” Combs sings on the chorus.

The release of  What You See Ain’t Always What You Get comes on the heels of yet another record-breaking year for the North Carolina native, who recently earned his ninth consecutive No.1 single with “Lovin’ On You.” After taking home two ACM Awards this week, Combs is heading into the upcoming CMA Awards with six nominations, including Entertainer of the Year.
