Luke Combs is returning to his hometown in North Carolina for a very special concert.
The country superstar will perform at Coyote Joe’s in Charlotte, North Carolina on Thursday, July 28. The concert will later stream in over 165 countries on August 24 at 7:00 pm PST, exclusively on Apple Music as part of the Apple Music Live series.
“Apple Music has been a big part of helping me get my music out to my fans, so I jumped at the idea of being able to play a special live show for them to enjoy,” Combs shared in a statement. “I also couldn’t think of a better place to do it than back home in North Carolina at Coyote Joe’s – a venue that I have lots of great memories at. I’m really looking forward to playing the full album live for the fans and everyone being able to watch it on August 24!”
Combs has a history with Coyote Joe’s as he previously filmed his music video for “Hurricane” in the bar. In the video, the country hitmaker performed for a sold-out crowd of over 3,000 fans.
The venue holds a very special meaning for Combs as he previously saw Eric Church play Coyote Joe’s in February of 2014 and from that day on, he knew that he wanted a career in country music.
“A kid with a dream and a hell of a lot of inspiration from that guy on the right,” Combs wrote alongside a throwback image in 2018. ”Hard to believe it’s only been 4 years, it seems like a lifetime ago, and in many ways it was but that show lit a fire under my ass. That’s the day the kid you see on the left KNEW that he wanted to do what that guy on the right was doing. Thanks for the inspiration, Chief.”
Combs also shared a moment he will never forget with his mom at the music venue.
“Really great memory I have with my mom is the first time that I sold out Coyote Joe’s in Charlotte. I brought her on stage and introduced her to the crowd. I have a really great photo. That’s one of my favorite photos of me and her together.”
Luke Combs’ recently released his new album, Growin’ Up, which debuted at No. 1. The 12-track project features the chart-topping hit, “Doin’ This,” Combs’ current single, “The Kind Of Love We Make,” and “Outrunnin’ Your Memory,” a duet with Miranda Lambert, among several tracks.
The reigning CMA Entertainer Of The Year will hit the road this fall on his headlining Middle Of Somewhere Tour with direct support from Jordan Davis. The trek, which kicks off on September 2 in Bangor, ME, will also feature special guests Morgan Wade and Lainey Wilson on select dates.
In November 2022, the country hitmaker will launch his Canadian tour with special guests Riley Green and Chayce Beckham.
