Morgan Wallen is gearing up to drop yet another highly anticipated project, and much like his last two albums, it will be packed with a hefty dose of new tracks. The country megastar’s fourth studio album, I’m The Problem, arrives on May 16, 2025, which he announced just before dropping two new songs from the project – “Just In Case” and “I’m A Little Crazy.”
According to the official song listing that appeared across streaming platforms, the forthcoming collection will feature 37 songs. Since Wallen has yet to unveil the official track list, he is keeping the unreleased titles under wraps and instead has them currently listed as “Track 2,” “Track 3,” “Track 4,” etc.
Wallen spent nearly a full year self-reflecting in the writer’s room and narrowing down the stories he wanted to put out into the world this year. He honed in on his creativity while on his farm just outside of Nashville surrounded by several of his core collaborators, including producers Joey Moi and Charlie Handsome. Taking this time allowed him to truly assess where life has taken him and where he hopes to go next, all while facing decisions of his past head on.
“I have been a problem, for sure, and I’ve got no problem admitting that,” Wallen says honestly. “But there are other sides to me as well. I’ve spent the last 11 months really trying to figure out, ‘Do I still want to be the problem? Is it time to move past that phase in my life?’ I think it probably is, and this might be the last time I get a chance to honestly say it.”

The two new songs that arrived today are a clear demonstration of the new wave of sound and raw authenticity that will drive this album. “Just In Case” was written by Wallen, John Byron, Jacob Kasher Hindlin, Ryan Vojtesak, Josh Thompson, Blake Pendergrass and Alex Bak. He previewed the slow-tempo tune nearly a week before its release, showcasing the tenderness that finds him admitting to holding back from falling deeply in love with someone new in hopes that his former flame will realize she wants him back.
The East Tennessee native sings, “I never let my heart go all the way/ Every time I try, I just hit the brakes/ And there’s always a couple tryna take your place/ But I never fall in love, baby, just in case/ You wake up wantin’ me out of the blue/ You lay down needin’ what I used to do/ Yeah, every now and then, I go get a taste/ But I never fall in love, baby, just in case/ Just in case.”
Meanwhile, “I’m A Little Crazy,” a tune written by Michael Hardy, Smith Ahnquist, Hunter Phelps and Jameson Rodgers, illustrates the story of someone who feels like an outsider. Through his gritty vocals and soft instrumentals, Wallen finds himself emphasizing the fact that no matter how tough things may feel in the moment, there’s always someone facing an even greater struggle.
“Oh, once you get to know me/ I’m a coyote in a field of wolves/ Oh, I’m a red-letter rebel/ But some become the devil when the moon is full/ Yeah, the only thing keeping these tracks on the train/ Knowin’ I’m a little crazy, but the world’s insane,” he delivers on the chorus.
I’m The Problem will drop on the first day of Morgan Wallen’s inaugural, all-genre Sand In My Boots Festival taking place in Gulf Shores, Alabama from May 16-18. He will also showcase the project on NBC’s Saturday Night Live next Saturday, March 29 when he returns as a musical guest and then on his 2025 I’m The Problem Tour, which kicks off June 20 at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas.
The 20-show run will include stops in Seattle, Washington; Foxborough, Massachusetts; Toronto, Ontario and more. With a second stop recently added in Madison, Wisconsin, Wallen’s appearances will mark the first time an artist has played two consecutive nights at Camp Randall Stadium.
He will be joined by a rotating star-studded lineup of established acts including Brooks & Dunn, Miranda Lambert, Thomas Rhett and Koe along with rising stars like Gavin Adcock, Corey Kent, Ella Langley, Anne Wilson and more.
