Midland frontman Mark Wystrach may croon about being “Mr. Lonely,” but in reality, his life is quite the opposite.
The country music singer recently shared that he got engaged to the love of his life, Tyler Haney.
According to People, the exciting moment happened spontaneously at the bride-to-be’s father’s farmhouse in Boulder, Colorado. The pair were reuniting with each other after spending a week apart, and Wystrach saw it as the perfect time to go on bended knee.
“It kind of was unplanned and just unfolded naturally when we were barefooted and on a walk with our little puppies,” he told the publication. “It was right after a big thunderstorm, and the sun just popped [up] out of nowhere, and I knew it was a sign.”
Haney, the CEO and founder of apparel company Outdoor Voices, of course, said, “Yes” to the proposal, and the future spouses shared the big news on their respective Instagram pages with similar posts that feature an adorable three-picture slideshow.
“Popped THE QUESTION and @ty_haney had the answer I was lookin’ for!!!” Wystrach wrote of his fiancée on Tuesday (May 28). The post featured photos of Haney flaunting her sparkly diamond ring, while in the presence of her man and the couple’s cuddly puppies, Juice and Pony.
Haney, who reportedly began dating the 39-year-old singer in early 2018, captioned her photos with “Pony is impressed.”
Unlike the spontaneity of the proposal, Haney’s engagement ring took some serious thought. In fact, Wystrach custom-designed the bling to suit his fianceé’s finger. The rock features multiple elegant, rectangle-shaped diamonds.
Wedding plans aside, Midland, who released their debut album On the Rocks in 2016, will be playing a handful of fairs and festivals throughout the month. The trio made up of Wystrach, Cameron Duddy, and Jess Carson, recently released “Mr. Lonely,” as the first single from their upcoming album.
