It is no secret that one of Miranda Lambert’s biggest loves in life is her furry friends! The country superstar is an active advocate for animal shelters and volunteer work. This Valentine’s Day, she is donating $20,000 to share her gratitude towards those who spend their time caring and loving the animals who need it most. As a ‘thank you,’ 20 shelters will each receive $1,000.

Ever since her teenage years, Lambert has spent time volunteering in animal shelters – she sure does practice what she preaches; she not only has five rescue dogs, but also has several cats, rabbits, and horses.

She says, “Shelter pets – especially the ones that are hardest to get adopted – and the people who care for them, have always had my heart. Valentine’s Day gives me one more chance to show just how special they all are to me.”
