Miranda Lambert is taking fans behind the scenes of her latest album, Wildcard, with a 13-plus minute mini-documentary.

The just-released clip features one-on-one interviews with Lambert as well as her collaborators such as Luke Dick, Natalie Hemby, Ashley Monroe and The Love Junkies (Lori McKenna, Liz Rose and Hillary Lindsey) as well as her producer, Jay Joyce.

The video also offers an inside look at the recording process and shines a light on the inspiration behind the critically-acclaimed project.

The superstar explained how she revisited the recording process of her debut album and how that impacted Wildcard.

“Oddly enough, on my seventh solo album, I feel like I approached it more like my very first album. I had taken the first long stretch I’ve ever had off in my entire career,” she shared. “Since I was 17, I’ve never taken more than three months off the road.”

Lambert let the music speak for itself instead of stressing over the process.

“Of all the albums I’ve made, [Wildcard] is the one I’ve overthought the least,” she admitted. “I just had confidence in the process. It just felt like it was gonna work.”

Wildcard was released on November 1, 2019. So far, it’s produced hits such as “It All Comes Out In the Wash” and the chart-topping “Bluebird.” Her latest single, “Settling Down,” is at country radio now.
