“It’s an honor. I know that this is all fan voted, so that’s what means the most to me about this award. As you guys know, it’s been an interesting year for me and my team and everyone involved and what’s been going on, but the overall response to it has really outshone everything else,” Wallen said.
He went on to share his gratitude for his fans.
“You know, it’s easy to focus on the bad things sometimes, but you guys have made the good things so overwhelming that I get to focus on that and that means a lot to me. It means a lot that I get to accept this award on y’alls behalf, so thank you and God bless you. I appreciate you listening to my music. I appreciate you connecting with it the way you do and I hope my next albums connect the same way. Y’all be good.”
