Morgan Wallen – More Than My Hometown
Morgan Wallen delivered a Monday morning surprise for his fans with the release of the official video for his latest single, “More Than My Hometown.”
The song’s bittersweet storyline comes to live in the Justin Clough-directed clip, which follows a small-town couple struggling to hold onto their relationship. As the female lead leaves town to chase her big-city dreams, her boyfriend is left behind to figure out how to live without her.
Wallen plays two roles in the just-released video, portraying the role of big brother and also the video’s narrator as he helps tell the story through song.
The clip ends on a cliffhanger, leaving fans wondering what will happen with the couple next. Check it out below.
“More Than My Hometown,” which is currently in the Top 25 and climbing at country radio, was co-written by Wallen with Michael Hardy, Ernest Keith Smith and Ryan Vojtesak.
The song will likely appear on Wallen’s highly anticipated sophomore album, which has yet to be announced. The project, which will serve as the follow-up to the rising star’s 2018 debut, If I Know Me, is also expected to include the tracks “7 Summers” and “This Bar.”
