DJ/songwriter/producer Diplo just released a brand new version of his Morgan Wallen collab, “Heartless,” with Julia Michaels and fans are losing their minds over it.
The just-released tune was accompanied by a brand new music video, featuring Wallen and Michaels. According to a press release, the video was shot this past week in Nashville by Diplo’s longtime collaborator Brandon Dermer.
The clip takes place at a motel where Wallen and Michaels appear to be having issues in their respective relationships. When both of them step outside for fresh air, they agree ditch their lovers and run away together.
“But, why you gotta be so heartless/ I know you think it’s harmless/ You’re tearing me apart/ And girl the hardest part is/ You’re so high on attention/ Taking miles from inches/ Leave me in the darkness/ Never finish what we started/ Girl why you gotta be so heartless (so heartless) Why you gotta be so heartless (so heartless),” they sing throughout the chorus.
Originally released in August of 2019, “Heartless” features Diplo under his country moniker Thomas Wesley. The previous version is already certified Platinum by the RIAA.
Wallen has been including “Heartless” in his setlist on his headlining Whiskey Glasses Roadshow Tour. The tour runs through May 1. Fans can also catch Wallen on the first leg of Jason Aldean’s We Back Tour in early 2020.
