Country Now is offering a look into some of the hottest new releases. We have selected a list of stand-out tracks that will freshen up your country music playlist and maybe even introduce you to a new crop of artists as they continue rising to the top of their game.

This set of new tunes is updated weekly to provide the latest selection of heart-breaking ballads, windows-down party anthems, steady love stories and more.

Here are eight new country songs you need to hear right now.

Brandon Davis – “Fell For You”

Brandon Davis finds himself sitting “alone at a table for two” in his new song, “Fell For You,” which he penned with Brandon Sammons. Between the honesty in his vocals and the unpolished strum of his acoustic guitar, Davis uncovers the truth behind his heartbreak after falling for someone who left before trying to see things through to the end. This song equates to the perfect listening experience for someone looking to get lost in their own thoughts in a moment of reflection.

“I fell for you / I lost myself searching for someone  / I thought could help me / Pour out my heart like a bottle of bourbon / I’m slowly learning / I’m just a fool / ‘Cause I fell for you / Yeah, I fell for you,” Davis sings in the raw chorus.

Jon Langston – “Howdy Howdy Howdy”

Jon Langston is ready to get rowdy in his new song, “Howdy Howdy Howdy.” The after-hours party anthem was written by Langston with Jordan Gray and Jacob Rice and signals the kind of night out that you never want to end. The country star’s gritty vocals come to life in the presence of the roaring steel guitar and two-stepping melody that’s sure to keep the party going past the last call. Langston will bring “Howdy Howdy Howdy” and more fan-favorite tracks to his headlining LET’S GET ROWDY TOUR, which kicked off on Friday, February 24 in Bristol, TN.

“This is a fun, honky-tonk barn burner that gives off a 90s and early 2000s vibe, with a little rock mixed in,” shares Langston. “It captures the feeling of my live show in song form and fires me up to hit the stage. The fans love to get rowdy at our shows, so this song is going to fit right in with our crowd.”

Grant Gilbert With Josh Abbott – “Six Pack State of Mind”

In his latest release, Grant Gilbert has teamed up with fellow Texas native Josh Abbott to reveal his “Six Pack State of Mind.” Written by Gilbert with Jonathan Singleton, Jessi Jo Dillon, and Dan Isbell, the single serves as the perfect track to pair with a night of drinking with friends. The artists have combined their easy-going vocals and electrifying guitar riffs just in time for the feel-good windows down season. The cover art also pays tribute to their friendship, which formed during their early careers at The Blue Light in Lubbock, Texas.

“I was going into the studio to cut a hand full of songs but it felt like we were missing a song that you could turn on and have a drink to. We pushed our studio time back, dug in, and we came up with Six Pack State of Mind,” says Gilbert. “A six-pack is a lot more fun when you aren’t by yourself, so it just made sense to have Josh Abbott jump on it with us. I’m super proud of how it turned out and can’t wait to see people come out to shows and sing along to it and forget about the real world for 90 minutes. It’s the first of many for this year, so we’re fired up.”

Larry Fleet – “Daddy Don’t Drink”

Larry Fleet’s heartfelt country ballad, “Daddy Don’t Drink,” reveals how becoming a father to his son Waylon and daughter Stella has impacted his views on life. He’s said goodbye to bad habits and welcomed in a new perspective so that his kids have a strong role model to look up to. The new track, which was written by Fleet with Derek Bahr and Luke Laird finds the country star and dad of two leaning into these positive changes as he delivers a touching round of vocals.

“All it took was you / A can of Sherwin Williams blue / 30 years of Sunday sermons to finally hear the truth / Things were getting out of hand / Didn’t wanna be that man,” Fleet sings throughout the chorus. “Yeah I want my boots to be the kind that you would wanna grow into / My world changed, by God’s grace the day you were born /That’s why daddy don’t drink no more.”

Matt Schuster – “Wasted Prayers”

Rising star Matt Schuster makes his 2023 debut with the unveiling of his new song, “Wasted Prayers.” Written by Schuster with Adam Yuron and Jonny Price, the raw ballad encompasses a drunken conversation with God as Schuster battles with his mistakes of a past relationship. The faith-filled harmonies are backed by a wave of mindful realizations and radiant vocals as he begs for a sign to let him know that his prayers are being heard.

“The inspiration for the song came to me at a writer’s round when I was feeling a little bit discouraged. This career is a race against yourself mentally, so I found myself drinking about it,” Schuster said honestly. “I remember having a little bit of a spiritual moment right there in the chaos of the bar and immediately seeing the double meaning behind ‘wasted prayers.’ I think everyone can relate to the frustration of feeling like your thoughts or prayers go unanswered and I’m excited for everyone to have this one.”

Kassi Ashton has released “Drive You Out Of My Mind,” as her next radio single which will hit the airwaves on March 13. Written by Ashton with Travis Wood and Todd Clark, “Drive You Out of My Mind,” creates a space for listeners to make a speedy getaway from their heartbreak and keep driving “‘Til I see some taillights that don’t make me think of you.” The Missouri native strikes a match with her hard-hitting vocals and mood-boosting melody that makes her the center of attention.

“When nothing else works, I hit the gas,” says Ashton. “I feel like I can breathe when the windows are down, and my main character soundtrack is turned up. Put this song at the top of your playlist the next time you need to get lost.”

Ingrid Andress  – “Treated Me Good”

Ingrid Andress is speaking on a subject that is generally paired with a heartbreaking ending. In her latest release titled, “Treated Me Good,” she opens up about how in some cases, it can actually be more difficult to move on from a relationship that came to a close in a healthy way. There was no cheating, no lies, ad nothing to make her hate her ex-love interest. It just simply didn’t work out, which leaves her with no ammo to extinguish her sadness. The song was co-written and co-produced by Andress alongside frequent collaborators Sam Ellis and Derrick Southerland, and marks the first of three new original songs featured on her album, Good Person (Deluxe), out Friday, March 3.

“But you treated me good / Baby, you loved me right / Why’d you hold every door for me, be perfect all the time? / I can’t even be mad / Can’t hate you and it’s making me crazy / And I’m not getting closure getting over you like I should / ‘Cause you treated me good,” she sings in the pleading chorus.

Conner Smith – “Creek Will Rise”

Conner Smith is breaking out a new type of love story with his fast-paced country anthem, “Creek Will Rise.” His roaring vocals mixed with the fiddle-laced melody and hard-hitting electric guitars demonstrates the intense desire to capture the moment at hand and never let it go. The gritty new song was co-penned by Smith alongside Chris LaCorte, Chase McGill and Parker Welling and released via The Valory Music Co. The sensual narrative is a daring alternative to Smith’s recent stint of romantic tunes and upbeat party anthems.

“I’ve never been more excited for a song to come out,” Smith said in a press release. “‘Creek Will Rise’ has already taken my live show to a new level and feels like the start of the next chapter of my music.”
