Hitmaking group Old Dominion had a very special announcement during their Monday night performance at Whiskey Jam: their highly anticipated NO BAD VIBES TOUR is set to kick off in the spring of 2023.
Sharing the exciting news to a packed crowd in the parking lot of Loser’s Bar and Grill in Nashville, the reigning CMA Vocal Group of the Year – who got their start as regular performers on the iconic Whiskey Jam stage – was joined by Shawn Austin, Greylan James, Kassi Ashton and Frank Ray where they announced they each will be opening acts on the tour. Ray, Ashton & James will all be supporting the United States dates while Ray, Austin, and Steven Lee Olson will be supporting the Canadian dates.
This is not the first time the multi-Platinum selling band has surprised fans; Previously, they have stopped at intimate venues across the country where they held a series of exclusive, free pop-up shows. Considering it as making up for lost time during the pandemic, Old Dominion continued to do what they love and perform for fans all around the nation.
Following the heels of a very successful run on Kenny Chesney’s Here and Now 2022 Tour – where Old Dominion opened the show at twenty-three stadiums over the summer – their headlining tour is set to kick off January 19, 2023 at the Ford Center in Evansville, IN and end on July 30th in Lake Tahoe, NV.
With five ACM Group of the Year awards to date, the band’s frontman Matthew Ramsey said, “At an Old Dominion show, I think we just want people to feel happy. They should feel like they got to forget about whatever is bothering them or whatever’s weighing them down in that point in time. Just come and hangout with us, and escape for a couple hours. Then hopefully they walk out feeling a little lighter than when they walked in.”
American Express® Card Members will be able to purchase tickets before the general public beginning Wednesday, October 19th at 10:00 a.m. local time through Thursday, October 27th at 10:00 p.m. local time.
In addition to staying busy on the road, Old Dominion has been writing and recording music and have even teased a clip on their TikTok page. After releasing their 2021 album Time, Tequila and Therapy, the record debuted in the Top 5 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart and is currently nominated for Album of the Year at this year’s CMA Awards.
