Now that the news is out that Parker McCollum and his wife Hallie Ray Light are expecting their second baby boy, the country star is taking a moment to reflect on the journey ahead. As he shares updates on how his wife is doing, McCollum can’t help but think about life as a family of four, and admits he’s already been dreaming up names for the little one.

During an interview with Cody Alan for SiriusXM’s The Highway, the Texas native jokingly revealed that with their first son, Major Yancey Tyler McCollum, born in August 2024, he had wanted to name him Cadillac McCollum, Cadillac Mac, for short. Since Hallie Ray passed on that idea, he’s hoping to redeem himself with his name picks for baby number two.

“If Hallie ray would just let go and let me, his name would be baller. Not literally baller,” he clarified, “but it would be a really cool name.”

Over Christmas break, the couple announced they will be transitioning from a family of three to a family of four this summer.

“McCollum party of 4 next Christmas!!!! Another BOY joining us summer 2026!!! Merry Christmas, everyone! Thank you, Jesus! HBD!!,” they wrote on the heartfelt post.

When asked about adding another little one to the mix, McCollum admitted they are over the moon. Even though he knows that life will get even busier around their house, he’s confident that all three of them are looking forward to embracing the highs and lows that will come with this next chapter.

We’re excited, man. I know Hallie Ray is really excited. Watching our wild animal run around the house right now, I’m like, ‘Are we really about to do this again?’ And we absolutely are,” he told Alan.

McCollum then got candid about how thankful he feels for the way his life has turned out, between having a successful music career and a happy and healthy family by his side. Plus, Major being such a good kid has made them even more excited about watching him become a big brother.

“We’ve just been so freaking blessed, dude,” he admits humbly. “I mean, the music, the career has been awesome, and the family is healthy, and you know, Major, our little man we got right now, is just the freaking, you know, brightest light in the world, and setting the bar high for number two.”

The “What Kinda Man” singer goes on to say that he and Hallie Ray have established a good routine around the house, one that allows each of them to have their own time in the mornings before the day really kicks off.

“She needs about an hour in the morning to get the juices flowing. You know, I’m a morning person. It’s even before my eyes open. Every morning of my life, before my eyes even open, my brain’s going. I will lay there before I even open my eyes, and have a thousand thoughts in my head. It’s about an hour after she wakes up before she’s really kicked into gear. But she is the exact same person every single day.

Reflecting further on their dynamic as a couple, McCollum jokes about how their personalities couldn’t be more different, but somehow they still fit together perfectly.

“Opposites attracted there for sure,” he pointed out. “I’m all over the place. I’m nine different people before I get out of the shower in the morning. And she is just steady, man. I mean, you can’t rattle her.”

McCollum and Hallie Ray may have their hands full preparing for baby number two, but the singer isn’t slowing down professionally. His headline tour is set to continue through late September, and fans have some new music to look forward to.

The singer songwriter recently dropped the news that after much anticipation, his track “Big Ole Fancy House,” is set to drop on January 23rd.

“Think it’s about time we released this one, yeah?,” he wrote on socials alongside an acoustic clip.
