Lainey Wilson paid tribute to her fans following her three big wins at the first-ever People’s Choice Country Awards on Thursday evening (Sept. 28).
The Bell Bottom Country queen was one of the evening’s top winners securing the title of The Female Artist of 2023 as well as wins in The Collaboration of 2023 (for “Save Me” with Jelly Roll) and The Music Video of 2023 (“Wait in the Truck” with HARDY).
A Trio Of Wins
Wilson was on hand during the two-hour broadcast to accept the honors on stage.
“I feel like my heart is about to beat out of my chest, and I know a lot of it has to do with this award, but also a lot of it has to do with standing on this Opry stage. Every single time I get to stand on this stage, I feel overwhelmed. I feel honored and humbled, and I feel like I got some very big shoes to fill,” she shared after being presented with The Female Artist of 2023 trophy.
She went on to reflect on her year so far and shout out her fans for their support.
“I’ll say, this year, y’all, we have played every kind of show you can imagine. We have played clubs, we have played stadiums with Mr. Luke Combs, you name it, we have played it. And every single night I look out there and I see a lot of y’all wearing y’all’s bell bottoms and hats, and it’s the craziest thing,” she admitted. “I just want to say thank y’all so much for letting me express myself through my music and even the way that I dress. And I love seeing y’all do the same exact thing. Y’all keep showing up and I’ll keep showing up too. God bless y’all. Thank you.”

This is all because of y’all🥂🤘🏻🫶🏻,” Wilson shared alongside a carousel of photos from the show.
Disco Meets Western
The Louisiana native, who was fresh off her “bucket list” performance at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado, turned heads in silver bell bottoms and a matching silver button-up that resembled a disco ball. She topped off the look with a chain belt adorned with charms, stacks of necklaces, and a cowboy hat.
